Ford Car Sales Accelerate in Germany
COLOGNE,Germany -
Ford of Germany car sales rose 25 per cent in the first three months of the year, significantly outpacing the industry average of 5.6 per cent.


Figures released by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) show 49,730 Ford passenger cars were registered during January, February and March, giving Ford a market share of 6.9 per cent. This represents an increase of 1.1 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2013.


“Our goal is to provide our customers with attractive vehicles equipped with outstanding technologies and the combination is proving very successful, as the sales result show,” said Wolfgang Kopplin , Director of Marketing and Sales, Ford -Werke GmbH.

Among the most sought-after models in Germany are the Ford Kuga and the Ford Focus. Last month 2,067 new Kuga models were registered, up 90.2 percent compared with March 2013. Ford also registered 4,937 new Focus cars last month, representing an increase of 17.2 percent compared to March 2013.

 

 

Ford (NYSE: F), Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd., and Jiangling Motors Corp Ltd. said March sales rose 28 percent in China to 103,815 units.

The number is a slowdown from a 67 percent year-over-year jump seen in February and 53 percent gain last January.

First-quarter 2014 sales were then up 45 percent over the prior-year period.

Ford's highest-demand car in China is the Ford Focus.

Shares of Ford are up 0.5 percent early.

Ich fand folgende m.E. nicht zutreffende Begründungen:
1) da MS GM auf 33 $ runtergestuft hat (wo sie eh schon fast sind)
2) wegen dem Rückruf von 434k Fahrzeugen in USA

beide Gründe sind kaum stichhaltig, wichtig sind dagegen die Verkäufe in China und der Erfolg des Focus.

Im Januar erfolgte eine Anhebung der Dividende um 25 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorquartal. Im Januar 2013 wurde die Dividende um 100 Prozent erhöht (von 5 auf 10 US-Cents).

Auf das Gesamtjahr hochgerechnet werden 0,50 US-Dollar ausbezahlt. Beim derzeitigen Börsenkurs von 15,84 US-Dollar liegt die aktuelle Dividendenrendite bei 3,16 Prozent.  

Conclusion

Ford is a well-established vehicle products and services producer distributed in a multitude of countries across the globe. Chinese consumers bought 103,815 vehicles for the month of March, a 28 percent gain over the same period last year, making it the first time that Ford’s monthly Chinese sales have pierced the 100,000-unit marker. The stock has struggled to make significant progress and is currently pulling back. Over the past four quarters, earnings and revenues have been rising, which has left investors pleased. Relative to its peers and sector, Ford has been a relative year-to-date performance leader. Look for Ford to OUTPERFORM.

Ford (NYSE:F)-The automaker reported first quarter profit of 25 cents per share , six cents below estimates, with revenue falling short as well. Excluding items, the company saw a profit of 24 cents per share. Along those lines, Ford highlighted a number of one-time factors such as weather and currency as impacting its results.

Offenbar haben die ANALysten zu hoch gepokert, wobei allerdings die Firma selber nur 24 cts sah. Immerhin werden die Jahresprognosen aufrechterahlten.

DEARBORN (awp international) - Nach General Motors schlagen auch beim Rivalen Ford die Kosten für Rückrufe ins Kontor. Unter anderem wegen Aufwendungen für Gewährleistungsfälle musste der zweitgrösste US-Autobauer im Auftaktquartal einen Gewinneinbruch um 39 Prozent auf unterm Strich 989 Millionen Dollar (714 Mio Euro) hinnehmen. Auch der harte Winter in Nordamerika sowie ungünstige Währungseffekte in Südamerika forderten ihren Tribut. Dagegen entspannte sich die Lage im Europageschäft weiter. Der Konzernumsatz stieg im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum leicht auf 35,9 Milliarden Dollar. Die Jahresprognosen von ." Die modernen Fahrzeuge des Kölner Herstellers erfreuen sich zunehmender Beliebtheit und verhalfen der Marke im Monat April zu einem um 0,2 Prozentpunkte höheren Marktanteil. Das Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) in Flensburg vermeldet für Ford im April einen Marktanteil von 7,0 Prozent nach 6,8 Prozent im Vorjahr.

Ford's Escape also hit an all-time monthly sales high of 31,896 vehicles.
