Bin mal gespannt wie die Kleinwagenaufträge dieses Frühjahr ausfallen in Südeuropa wenn es dehnen endlich wieder besser geht: wahrscheinlich besser :)

Reuters) - Ford Motor Co (FN) und seine Joint Ventures in China verkauft 94.466 Fahrzeuge in China im Januar, ein Anstieg von 53 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr, sagte der US-Autohersteller am Mittwoch.
Dies vergleicht sich mit einer 35-Prozent-Zunahme im Dezember und einer 47-Prozent-Sprung im November.
Im Jahr 2013 verkaufte Ford insgesamt 935.813 Fahrzeuge in China um 49 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr.
Ford betreibt Joint Ventures in China mit Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd (000625.SZ) und Jiangling Motors Corp (000550.SZ).

Reply I will buy it as soon as it is available in August ... killer V-8 ... great design and (drumroll) independent rear suspension ... I like the convertible which should be around $40M with options ... I have a mint 2001 convert GT with only 32,000 miles ... runs like new (5.8 0-60) and would keep if I.

Ford Motor positive on SUV growth

Sales of SUV outside of North America will grow by 40% over the next four years as the vehicle is becoming more popular globally after the American market phenomenon, the Wall Street Journal cited Ford Motor management.

Last year, SUV sales advanced 17% in global market, while Ford's SUV sales jumped 37%, said Jim Farley, head of sales and marketing of Ford Motor.

Meiner Meinung nach ist der 2er Active von BMW nicht sonderlich hübsch. Da gefallen mir die aktuellen Ford Modelle (und aktuell auch viele andere Modelle der Konkurrenz) wesentlich besser.

Erfolgreicher Jahresauftakt setzt sich im Februar fort: Pkw-Zulassungen von Ford steigen um 17,8

- Ford im Februar erneut stärker als Gesamtindustrie

- Pkw-Marktanteil des Herstellers erreicht im Februar 7,1 Prozent

- Nutzfahrzeuggeschäft von Ford wächst um 15,9 Prozent

- Wiederholt Zuwächse im entscheidenden Geschäft mit Privatkunden

Ford schließt den Februar mit einem erneut sehr erfolgreichen Zulassungsergebnis ab. Insgesamt verzeichnete der Hersteller im vergangenen Monat 14.884 neu zugelassene Pkw, was einem Zuwachs von 17,8 Prozent gegenüber Februar 2013 entspricht. Damit konnte Ford seinen erfolgreichen Start in 2014 weiter ausbauen und wiederholt noch stärker als die Gesamtindustrie wachsen. Diese legte laut Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) mit insgesamt 209.349 Pkw-Zulassungen im Februar im Schnitt um 4,3 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat zu. Der Marktanteil von Ford betrug 7,1 Prozent und lag um 0,8 Prozentpunkte über dem Ergebnis vom Februar 2013.

Ford China February Sales Up 67 Percent

Ford China February sales reach 73,040 wholesales, up 67%;
CAF passenger car February sales reach 53,272 wholesales, up 81%;
JMC commercial vehicle January sales reach 16,756 wholesales, up 22%;
Continued strong demand for the Ford Focus, the best-selling nameplate in China last year, helped Ford China increase sales by 67 percent in February, with 73,040 vehicles sold. Ford China's sales are up 59 percent so far for the year, with sales of 167,506 vehicles compared to the first two months of 2013.

Total passenger car sales for Ford China—which include imported cars—rose 88 percent in February with 56,284 vehicles sold compared to 29,950 in February 2013. Ford has sold 128,882 passenger cars so far in 2014, up 73 percent from 74,389 vehicles sold during the same period last year.

The sales number should exceed analysts' expectations -- welcome relief for investors in automakers' shares, which haven't fared so well this month.

In February, U.S. auto sales showed a very slight year-over-year decline, but overall they were still better predicted.

General Motors posted a 1% decline in sales for the month, beating analysts' expectations for a 6% drop. Ford posted a 6% drop in sales results, slightly ahead of what analysts were expecting.

In Ford's announcement about its February sales, John Felice, vice president of U.S. marketing, sales, and service at Ford, said, "Sales surged in the final week, providing us momentum after a slow start to the month."
